Ashley Moy completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor's degree in biology and double minor in chemistry and business. She is passionate for the art and science of the field and, most importantly, for helping people achieve oral health and a smile that can restore their confidence. Moy discovered she had a true love for dentistry. Moy, his wife and two daughters reside in Northern Virginia Show LessĪfter assisting her father in his dental practice during summer breaks from school, Dr. Additionally, he has extensive knowledge of bone grafting and implant rehabilitation. He keeps informed of the newest innovations in a variety of fields including cosmetic, endodontics, reconstructive and periodontal treatments.

His education did not stop after college, however, and learning remains a significant part of his professional life. He served three years with the public health service providing dental care to the under served population. Moy feels a smiles is the best indication of happiness and now seeks to provide his patients with both a beautiful smile and a pleasant experience.Īfter graduating from Saint John's University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1979 he attended Georgetown University Dental School on a Public Health Scholarship and graduated in 1983. With advancements in technology and after several treatments, skilled dentists were able to restore not only his father's teeth but also his smile. Due to the lack of proper oral health care, his father's mouth soon fell into decay. Moy was inspired to pursue the dental profession after seeing the impact it had in his own life. His special interests within the dental practice include cosmetic dentistry, prosthetics (replacing lost teeth), dental implants and, above all, making his patients comfortable and feel good about their smile. When not practicing in his dental office Mark enjoys golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. During Mark's term as Mayor he also served as president of the Maryland Municipal League from 2003-2004.
In 1998, and again in 2002, he was elected mayor of the Town of North Beach. He was re-elected to a second term in 1994. In 1986, the voters of Calvert County elected Mark, who now lives in North Beach, to his first term on the Calvert County Board of County Commissioners. He has earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and been elected a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. In 1979, he was appointed to a 6 year term on the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners and served as its president for one year. Frazer graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry and following a three year tour of duty in the U.S. Jebsen Medical Foundation, the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine as well as industry and cross-institutional collaborations.Dr.
Frazer’s current research studies are supported by the National Institutes of Health, the K.G. Frazer has spent the past 25 years studying various aspects of functional and structural human genomics, and her contributions include pioneering cross-species DNA sequence comparisons between humans and mice, generating the content now publicly available in the “HapMap Phase II,” and developing novel methods for identifying and functionally annotating variants underlying GWAS signals.ĭr. Frazer was Professor of Translational Genomics at the Scripps Research Institute and, previously, Vice President of Genomic Biology at Perlegen Sciences. Frazer is a professor and the founding chief of the Division of Genome Information Sciences in the Department of Pediatrics, Director of UC San Diego’s Institute for Genomic Medicine and a leader at the university’s Clinical and Translational Research Institute.
